Two decades ago Alzheimer's disease was considered relatively rare in the Indian sub-continent, however going by the current number of patients afflicted (more than 4 millions), the condition demands awareness, attention ,treatment and added institutional care centers.

Alzheimer's is a neurodegenerative dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behaviour. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks.
