Physiotherapy after Spinal Cord Tumour Surgery

I had been treated in another hospital and also with private physiotherapy, but I am completely overwhelmed by the treatment provided by    DR. PRITI AGNI and her team at K. J. Somaiya Hospital. It is because of the constant encouragement and motivation by DR. PRITI AGNI and her team that I am able today to walk independently. I am very thankful to the entire team."

5 Habits for a healthy back

Maintaining the correct posture is very important for a healthy back. A chair with good lumbar support and a firm seat should be chosen. A small pillow between the lower back and the chair can help in avoiding back pain. The workspace should be arranged smartly, to avoid a lot of twisting while reaching out for frequently used items.

Middle/ Thoracic Spine

The thoracic spine joins the cervical spine and extends down past the bottom of the shoulder blades, where it connects with the lumbar spine. The thoracic spine made up of twelve vertebrae is built for stability, holding the body upright and protecting the vital organs in the chest. The most common cause of thoracic back pain is due to muscular irritation or other soft tissue problems, caused by poor posture, overuse injuries such as repetitive motion, or trauma.

Spine Care : Upper Back Pain

Upper back pain is caused by many reasons most common being muscle strain or ligament sprain in the neck or middle back regions of the spine, usually the result of repetitive movements or poor posture.
