COPD – never too early, never too late.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs. It is caused by long-term exposure to irritating gases or particulate matter from pollution such as cigarette smoke. In India, besides cigarette smoke, air pollution and other environmental risk factors are also a leading cause of COPD. People with COPD are at increased risk of developing heart disease, lung cancer and a variety of other conditions.

What is a Stroke?

The international accepted door to balloon time (time at which the patient reaches the hospital with on-going heart attack to the time actually the balloon opens the block and restores the blood flow to the muscles of the heart) intervention is within 90 minutes and 3 to 6 hours from the onset of heart attack for blockages need to be removed.
